thats actually pretty well done, who coded the thing ?
Thanks a lot Silver! We had 2 and a half programmers during this jam, you can check it out on our description! And sorry for the late reply!
Pretty cool game. Visuals and sound design are spot-on, and the pull-and-push of gameplay feels satisfying, with enough chaos in the variability between runs to keep things interesting for a long time.
My only real gripes with the game is that sometimes full momentum is preserved from a standstill, which can make some cornering feel unfair, and though zooming out as you get bigger is cute and reminiscent of ".io" games, I think it'd be fairer to simply see the entire screen at all times, as a lot of deaths were caused by basically offscreen saws.
Otherwise, stellar work. Congrats to the team.
Thank you so much for your comment! It makes total sense and the zoom thing was a bit of an aesthetic decision on our side, as we tried the game with full zoom-out all the time and it felt very flat and not that dynamic. With more time put into it, we would probably have tried to find a good solution for this problem, but completely agree that it feels frustrating.
That being said, again, thanks a lot for all the kind words! And super sorry for the late reply!
It’s so damn cool! I loved being able to customize the character however I wanted. The way the tutorial is done is great, and the sounds fit perfectly. The online leaderboard is an awesome touch! Your work is impressive—well done!
Hey Zafirity! Thank you so much for your kind words! Sorry for taking so long to reply, but we really appreciate your comment!
SUPER impressive work here! The character creator and vfx was a very surprising amount of polish, and then there's a functioning online leader-board on top of that!
Mechanically I really like the game as well, balancing the risk reward of a larger body and more saws with being significantly quicker at building score is a great dynamic. The saws are sometimes a bit tricky to see coming as they're spawning in but i'll chalk that up to a skill issue on my part aha.
Great job to the whole team, fantastic entry!
Hey Leslle! Thank you so much for the review-like comment, means a lot to us! Sorry for taking so long to reply, but we really appreciated!
